Our colleagues, Guillermo Lobato Carreño and Álvaro Bartolomé del Canto, are behind two of the 26 projects that make up the TCUE Plan 2018-2020, a programme financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Regional Government of Castile y León.

Our director Juan Manuel Corchado and Pablo Chamoso published a new article in the Processes journal. Other contributors include Sigeru Omatu, professor at the Osaka Institute of Technology and Technical Advisor for Promoting IoT Technologies at the IoT Digital Innovation Hub, as well as other distinguished professors.

BISITE researcher, Denisa Kera, presented the possibilities of AI and blockchain technologies at EAT - BIOTOPIA Festival exploring the themes of Food, Health and Sustainability that took place in Munich on May 26, 2019.

BISITE will take part in the Summer of Code in Space (SOCIS) program organized by the European Space Agency that focuses on bringing student developers into open source software development for space applications.

The sixth meeting of the ITU-T Focus Group on Application of Distributed Ledger Technology (FG DLT), took place from 1 to 4 April 2019 in Madrid, and our Marie Curie Fellow, Dr. Denisa Kera, was invited to present her Lithopia project as a use case of blockchain technologies in the art and design domain.

The BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca offers a postdoctoral research contract within the framework of the project "Virtual-Ledgers": DLT/Blockchain and Crypto-IOT technologies based on virtual organizations of lightweight agents for their application in the efficiency of last mile transport" financed by the Junta of Castile and León and co-financed by FEDER Funds. The application deadline is 11^th January 2019, code SA267P18.
