The University of Salamanca has been chosen by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) to host its 39th symposium from 8 to 12 April.
The activities are planned in four educational centres in the province: IES Venancio Blanco, Centro Concertado Pizarrales, CEIP Filiberto Villalobos and CRA de Doñinos.
Lur Perona and Pablo Rodríguez, Computer Engineering students at USAL, are involved in backend and DevOps tasks in artificial intelligence projects.
It will develop four programmes related to innovation, the training of professionals, a vertical project accelerator and a dynamization and communication programme.
Trinidad Burs, electronics engineer and student of the Master in Intelligent Systems at USAL, is part of international projects that make use of technologies such as edge computing and artificial intelligence.
The initiative, coordinated by Professor Juan Manuel Corchado, has a budget of more than one and a half million euros and proposes training and dissemination activities, including a new master's degree at USAL.
It will take place between September 27 and 29 and will be attended by hundreds of experts from countries such as the United States, India and Chile, among others.
It will be held between March 15 and 17 with the presence of leading experts from universities around the world.
