Our Marie Curie research fellow, Denisa Kera was a keynote speaker at "Digital Humanities Forum 2019: Bodies, Justice, Futures” at the University of Kansas with a presentation on “Justice Machines, Pacts with the Devil, and the Myth of Automation from Klepsydra to Blockchain”.
She discussed her research into algorithmic governance and the need for new approaches to digital scholarship connecting humanities with design through prototyping.
This approach was then featured in a whole day workshop on “Smart Villages and the Dangers of Governance by Algorithms: an Interactive Exercise in Algorithmic Governance” organized by Lawrence Public Library y el Institute for Digital Research in the Humanities.
