CIBERIA aims to promote economic growth and the development of new solutions in the digital world, as well as to make the region more attractive and competitive worldwide in the development of reliable cybersecurity solutions, and finally, to facilitate the digital transition of SMEs and public services to ensure a culture of cybersecurity. In short, to create a cybersecurity support ecosystem in the Region of Castilla y León and Central Portugal (CENCYL) that enables companies and public administrations to be resilient to cyberattacks.

The project involves 12 partners from Castilla y León and Central Portugal, including the University of Salamanca (USAL), the University of León (ULE), the National Institute of Cybersecurity of Spain, S. A (INCIBE), Fundación CIDAUT, Fundación Parque Científico Universidad de Salamanca, the Artificial Intelligence Centre (AIR INSTITUTE), the Supercomputing Centre of Castilla y León (SCAYLE), Universidade da Biera Interior (UBI), Instituto Politécnico de Guarda, Comunidade Intermunicipal das Bieras e Sierra da Estrela (CIM-BSE) and Secure Networks, Consultoría Informática.

Throughout the project, 21 organisations will benefit from audits or advice on compliance with Regulation (EU) 2019/881, thanks to the 10 cybersecurity audits for companies in Castilla y León and the 3 audits in Bieras e Serra da Estrela (Central Portugal), in addition to 3 cybersecurity audits for public administration organisations in Castilla y León and 5 audits for public administration organisations in Central Portugal.

This is an excellent initiative designed to promote the cybersecurity culture in Castilla y León and central Portugal.
