The LIFE Vía de la Plata project will participate in the tenth Startup Olé that will take place from 5 to 7 September in Salamanca, the town which is the venue for the LIFE project with the aim of becoming a more sustainable and environmentally friendly town.

LIFE Vía de la Plata is a pilot project focused on implementing and showcasing the green infrastructure network strategy in Salamanca, a World Heritage town, combining two pioneering elements in the urban environment: Ecosystem Services and Machine Learning.

The project aims to create a green corridor through the 6.9 km of its cattle route: "Via de la Plata" as it passes through Salamanca crossing from the north to the south of the municipality and dividing it into 6 pilot zones according to their urban and environmental characteristics.

The BISITE Research Group is part of this initiative, led by the Salamanca Housing and Urban Planning Board, where the Salamanca Town Council and the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, through the UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Development and Environmental Education, also collaborate as beneficiary partners.

On this occasion, the project will be presented to the attendees at Startup Olé to explain its objectives and scope so far. Those interested in learning more about LIFE Vía de la Plata, can come to the BISITE Group stand, located at the Palacio de Congresos, 2nd floor, Zone J. 5-EDTECH University Pavilion (download map), next Tuesday, 5 September.
