Everything is ready for the opening of the new developments at the Museum of the Ancient Seas of Monsagro. The Fossil Stone Interpretation Center will feature different interactive alternatives that will enhance the experience of those who visit the museum. The BISITE Research Group has participated in the development of the trilobite guide-robots which integrate educational robotics in an attractive and educational format.

The visit will also include explanatory videos, holograms, vinyls and other attractions that will dynamically provide visitors with information on the large number of marine fossils dating back to the Cambrian period.

The aim of the initiative is to promote the museum and, in this way, contribute to revitalizing the rural area of Monsagro. Likewise, using new technologies and applied geomatics as effective didactic resources, it will promote the conservation and usage of the geological heritage of the locality, driving geo-tourism and cultural activities that promote sustainable rural development in the natural environment.

Visitors can learn to interpret the fossil traces found on the facades of the village buildings and to learn about the history of planet Earth told by trilobites (members of a group of extinct arthropods, characteristic of the Paleozoic Era).
