The Institutional Delegation of the CSIC in Castilla y León has showcased, before the British Embassy in Madrid, the scientific and technological ecosystem of Salamanca and the opportunities it offers for business development, training and research in areas such as human health, animal health, agro-environmental biotechnology and information technologies. Institutions, research centers and companies from Salamanca have explored collaboration schemes with the United Kingdom that could benefit researchers, entrepreneurs and SMEs.

Two members of the British Embassy, Shona Brown (Senior Trade and Investment Adviser) and Alejandra Cortés (Trade and Investment Adviser), took part in the working visit and toured various centers, companies and institutions accompanied by the institutional delegate of the CSIC in the community, Mar Siles. All parties underscored the potential synergy between the world of research and innovation in the field of health and agro-environmental biotechnology and British investors interested in these sectors.

The committee appointed by both institutions visited our laboratories to learn about the projects we are developing, especially those applying Artificial Intelligence in agri-environmental and biomedical sectors.

These interesting projects, developed in Salamanca, aim to provide our society with solutions for the application of new technologies.
