Last Friday, the 3rd Workshop on Disruptive Information and Communication Technologies for Innovation and Digital Transformation took place, organized by the BISITE Research Group within the framework of the DISRUPTIVE project. The event, which was held online, brought together project partners and international experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities that disruptive technologies offer to our society.

The workshop aims to disseminate and discuss the problems, challenges and benefits of the use of disruptive digital technologies today, such as the Internet of Things, Big Data, Cloud Computing, or Collaborative Robotics. Thus, the workshop in line with the objectives of DISRUPTIVE; promoting the ongoing digital transformation in society, especially in the cross-border area between Spain and Portugal.

DISRUPTIVE is a cooperation project between Spain and Portugal supported by the European Union's Interreg funds- It seeks to generalize the use of disruptive technologies in the EU industry.

The workshop has been a success thanks to the partners in Spain: CARTIF, the National Institute of Cybersecurity, the University of Valladolid and the Institute for Business Competitiveness of the Junta de Castilla y León, and the partners in Portugal: The Higher Institute of Engineering of Porto, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and PRODUTECH.
