From the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca we are looking to hire a person with a degree in Electronic Engineering/Telecommunications or a Technician in Electronic Product Development with knowledge in different tasks related to hardware design to support the electronics department in different projects related to IoT, Industry 4.0, Edge Computing, etc.
Our colleagues, Manuel López and Pablo Plaza, had the opportunity to participate in CyberCamp 2019, a competition organized by the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), which brought together leading specialists in the area. The participants also took part in different cyber-related activities.
Pablo Chamoso Santos and Alfonso González Briones, members of the BISITE Research Group, are among the 10 people that the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has selected as beneficiaries of the Juan de la Cierva State Programme, in the area "ICT - Information and Communication Technologies", which includes doctors from the branches of electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering and computer engineering.
By the end of this year, the BISITE group will have signed more than 100 contracts with young researchers. All these contracts have promoted more than forty national and international contacts, many of them in collaboration with other companies and research centres.
The Kafkoders group, in which some of our colleagues are involved, is one of the two winners of the first phase of the hackathon organized by NASA, called "Space Apps Challenge”.
We are pleased to announce that our director, Professor Juan Manuel Corchado, has been elected as the editor-in-chief of the Electronics journal (ISSN 2079-9292), specifically of the Computer Science & Engineering section.
BISITE Marie Curie research fellow, Denisa Kera, was a keynote speaker at the conference dedicated to the so-called “maker movement” at the occasion of the inauguration of the first JRC makerspace in Ispra, May 15 - 17th.
It has been an honour for me to represent our Research Group at an important meeting on cybersecurity, organized by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castile and Leon (ICE), as part of the work developed by the Regional Working Group on Cybersecurity of which we are a part of.
A few days ago we participated in Startup Olé, an internationally renowned entrepreneurship event that has helped us contact numerous companies and investors.
