The BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca continues adding talent to its team so that it can efficiently develop new project. This time, Tomás Ambabi Turrión, currently finishing his studies in Computer Engineering, is joining the team as a research intern to participate in artificial intelligence projects in a team of full stack developers.

Specifically, Tomás will be part of the AQUILON project, a platform that aims to offer a new source of weather forecasts at the forefront of the sector using massive open data, BOLD sources, and AI models. Along with the rest of his colleagues in the project, Tomás will develop predictive models that improve the meteorological information currently obtained by the different actors in the industrial sector, preferably renewable energies, but also the agri-food sector, logistics and transport, shipping and offshore operations.

Tomás, who is particularly interested in the mathematical approach to computer science and data analysis, is joining a team of more than 100 researchers that is constantly growing. If you would like to train in innovative technologies and be part of a multidisciplinary group, you could enroll in the Master's Degrees offered by BISITE, in areas such as Cybersecurity, Digital Animation, Smart Cities & Intelligent Buildings or Digital Transformation.
