The conference 'Salamanca Biotech: a growing business environment' brings to light the potential of the city to create wealth and employment through a scientific model based on knowledge, the bio-health industry and the green economy making use of all the talent that is available in the universities and research centres.
"Salamanca Biotech: A growing business environment" will be held next Wednesday 13th March in the Chamber of Commerce.
A new conference, as part of the initiative, provided students with an expert's view on technological advances, entrepreneurship and synergies between sectors.
Trinidad Burs, electronics engineer and student of the Master in Intelligent Systems at USAL, is part of international projects that make use of technologies such as edge computing and artificial intelligence.
The initiative, coordinated by Professor Juan Manuel Corchado, has a budget of more than one and a half million euros and proposes training and dissemination activities, including a new master's degree at USAL.
It will take place between September 27 and 29 and will be attended by hundreds of experts from countries such as the United States, India and Chile, among others.
It will be held between March 15 and 17 with the presence of leading experts from universities around the world.
Marta Muñoz, Pablo Caño and Alberto Luengo, University of Salamanca students, contribute their knowledge to different projects in the backend, MLOps and frontend.
