The researchers of the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca Juan Manuel Núñez Velasco and Sebastián López Florez have attended the IoT Tech Expo London 2023, a leading event on IoT, digital twins, business transformation, IoT security, smart infrastructures, automation, data and analytics and platforms at the edge.

During the meeting, both presented the advances in their research work developed within the BISITE group. This exchange of knowledge took place in a networking event with prestigious companies, including BOSCH, ABB, Element, Edge Impulse (IA), among others recognized in the technological field.

The annual IoT Tech Expo Global is a flagship forum dedicated to emerging IoT technologies. Bringing together hundreds of exhibiting companies and thousands of participants from around the world, the event provides a unique platform to learn about the latest innovations in IoT, 5G, cybersecurity, blockchain, artificial intelligence and digital transformation for free.

The conference features more than 200 leading technology providers presenting their latest products and solutions live. Among the most prominent IoT applications on display are connected industrial systems, smart homes and cities, autonomous vehicles, remote healthcare and optimized logistics. In addition, the 5G networks that power these applications are spotlighted, along with IoT platforms, cloud solutions and specialized hardware.

At BISITE, Juan Manuel Núñez develops projects and research related to IoT, Wireless Sensor Networks, Hardware Development, Smart Agriculture and Data Analytics. While Sebastián López's research interests focus on the development of flexible, interpretable and scalable machine learning models, often involving deep learning, Gaussian processes and kernel learning.
