Distributed Systems and Cloud Computing have revolutionized traditional systems of communication and computing. The BISITE group has experience in distributed Artificial Intelligence, which joins concepts from two fields of knowledge: Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Systems. Additionally, it focuses on research in the field of Cloud Computing. The three fundamental points at the core of the group’s research are: Multiagent Systems, Distributed Resolution of Problems, and Cloud Computing Systems.

Distributed systems and cloud computing have revolutionized traditional systems of communication and computing. The BISITE group has experience in distributed Artificial Intelligence, which joins concepts from two fields of knowledge: Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Systems. The field of Artificial Ingelligence (IA) attempts to understand intelligent entities. Additionally, it focuses on research in the field of Cloud Computing. The three fundamental points at the core of the group’s research are: Multiagent Systems, Distributed Resolution of Problems, and cloud computing systems. The basic problems studied within DAI. In line with this study, the team has worked on research projects in collaboration with companies such as INSA-IBM, among others.

    • Technologies

BISITE has conducted research in the field of security, focused on the problem of SPAM mail and relational databases security against SQL injections. Finally, within the group, BISITE is currently developing an architecture based on specialized agents for capture and classification of SOAP message employed in the process of communicating with web services in distributed environments. SOAP messages can be used to launch service denial attacks (DoS) and cause a blockage of the services and resources available to authorized users. The technologies applied in the research field are focused on the area of Artificial Intelligence combined with traditional approaches.

Mobile computing is human–computer interaction by which a computer is expected to be transported during normal usage. Mobile computing involves mobile communication, mobile hardware, and mobile software. Communication issues include ad-hoc and infrastructure networks as well as communication properties, protocols, data formats and concrete technologies.
    • Technologies

One of the most representative fields in the study and development of systems of BISITE, is research on agent technology. It is a fact that the use of agents and multiagent systems for application development in dynamic and flexible environments is growing. In general, agents are being used in a variety of applications because they offer substantial advantages, including the naturalness of the model to conceptualize different types of software. Similarly, multi-agent systems represent a new way of analyzing, designing and implementing complex software systems. A multiagent system consists of several different autonomous agents interacting to achieve the desired function. Each agent performs a series of tasks and communicates with other agents to exchange information or demand a service. Both the agents and multiagent systems research fields are currently in full development, which are increasingly spending more resources.

Negotiation is a process by which a group of entities try and come to a mutually acceptable agreement on some matter. Recently, however, there has been a surge of interest in automated negotiation systems that are populated with artificial agents (Nicholas R. Jennings)
    • Technologies

The planning and scheduling techniques are included in a branch of artificial intelligence that concerns the realization of strategies or action sequences, typically for execution by intelligent agents, autonomous robots and unmanned vehicles. Unlike classical control and classification problems, the solutions are complex and must be discovered and optimized in multidimensional space.
    • Technologies

Social media refers a group of Internet-based applications that build on the ideological and technological foundations of Web 2.0, and that allow the creation and exchange of user-generated content (Andreas Kaplan & Michael Haenlein)
    • Technologies

The line dedicated to research on agent technology is expanding, including virtual organizations of agents. The agents’ organizations that self-adjust to benefit from its current environment are more important. These organizations may appear in dynamic or emerging agents societies, such as those suggested by the domains grid, peer-to-peer networks or other environments in which agents group dynamically to provide composite services. Social factors in the organizations of multi-agent systems are also increasingly important to structure interactions in open and dynamic worlds.

    • Technologies

BISITE has extensive experience in the implementation of Mobile Networks and Wireless Sensor Networks. This network type provides an infrastructure to support the needs of distributed communication and mobility increase, flexibility and efficiency of users. Furthermore, they facilitate services (programs, data, equipment, etc.) that are available to any equipment on the network that needs it, regardless of physical location of the resource and user. The control devices and automation allow information about the environment and react physically on it, expanding the capabilities of users and automating daily actions.
