Ricardo S. Alonso Rincón (MSc. Eng.) is a Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Valladolid (Spain), University Master in Intelligent Systems from the University of Salamanca (Spain) and is currently developing his thesis in the PhD in Computer Engineering at the University of Salamanca. He also holds a Master's Degree in the Development of Electronic Commerce Systems from the University of Salamanca. He is currently working as a researcher in the BISITE Research Group (Bioinformatics, Intelligent Systems and Educational Technology) at the University of Salamanca. He has published more than 10 research articles in international journals and more than 30 in international conferences. On the other hand, he has worked for more than 10 years in private enterprise as an entrepreneur, technologist and researcher in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks and Real-Time Location Systems. During this time, he has collaborated in more than 10 regional, national and European R&D projects, having been the Principal Investigator in regional projects and European projects funded by the Horizon 2020 programme. His main research and development interests include Internet of Things technologies, Edge Computing, Embedded Systems, Indoor Location Systems, Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
