This article presents three successful case studies oriented to disabled and dependent people. These three case studies are the results of the following corresponding projects: Autonomous aGent for monitoring ALZheimer’s patients (AGALZ), which facilitates the monitoring and tracking of patients with Alzheimer’s; AZTECA, which is formed by a set of tools that facilitate the work of disabled people in their work environment; and MOVI-MAS, which simulates a 3D work environment enabling the detection of dangerous situations. These tools were developed using an agent platform called PANGEA, which is a platform to develop open multi-agent systems, specifically those including organizational aspects such as virtual agent organizations.
