CyberCamp is the benchmark event for the development of cybersecurity and digital trust, created by the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE). Since 2014, CyberCamp has been a free initiative for all that has promoted the culture of cybersecurity through various mass gatherings. BISITE Research Group is taking this initiative to the University of Salamanca, with the intention of highlighting the importance of cybersecurity on all its campuses.

The CyberCamp programme aims to promote the culture of cybersecurity in society, provide professional guidance to young people, promote talent in this field and raise awareness about the safe and responsible use of ICT and the Internet for all ages. Within the framework of the Special Session on Intelligent Internet of Things Security and Privacy (WISP), an exclusive day has been reserved for CyberCamp-USAL. During this day, an event will be organised with professionals from the sector, where talks and workshops will be held for profiles with knowledge in cybersecurity.

The WISP session is dedicated to addressing critical issues related to IoT security and privacy. Our goal is to foster collaboration between manufacturers, regulators, policy makers and end users to harmonise security layers and integrate Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs). This session is designed to serve as a platform to share the latest research findings, facilitate stimulating discussions and explore innovative solutions to pressing challenges at the intersection of IoT security, privacy and continuous computing.

Session highlights include keynote addresses from leading IoT security and privacy experts, presentation of the latest scientific papers on groundbreaking research, thematic sessions focusing on current trends and challenges, and panel discussions offering insights from industry leaders and policymakers. In addition, this special session is supported by EU projects such as ERATOSTHENES, CERTIFY, ENTRUST, TRUSTEE, CROSSCON, COBALT, ENCRYPT, REWIRE, DOSS, PQ-REACT and CYBERUNITY.

Our agenda on June 26, 2024, is packed with interactive spaces tailored for scientific communication and engaging discussions. In addition to sessions focusing on topics like the nexus between accounting and cybersecurity, the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, and expert talks spanning from lightweight security protocols to safeguarding critical infrastructure, there will also be dedicated sessions specifically curated for stakeholders. These sessions will provide valuable insights and strategic discussions aimed at addressing the concerns and interests of stakeholders involved in cybersecurity and data protection.

This activity is part of the agreement between INCIBE and the University of Salamanca, CyberCamp-USAL, in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, with funding from the Next Generation-EU Funds".
