In an environment where cybercrime has become one of the main challenges for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public bodies, preparedness and response to cyber-attacks become essential. In this context, the members of the Ciberia project, of which the BISITE Research Group is a member, have organised a new meeting in the U-Talent Hub Room of the Science Park of the University of Salamanca entitled ‘Active cybersecurity in public bodies and SMEs’, which will be held on 11 June 2024.
The aim of this conference is to provide a practical and realistic vision of how to protect oneself from a cyber-attack and how to respond in the event of being attacked.

What will this new workshop cover?
The workshop that we have designed in collaboration with all the Project members aims to offer practical tools and strategies to strengthen cybersecurity in organisations.
To this end, the programme we have developed will include the following activities:
Firstly, the meeting will be inaugurated at 10:45 am with a presentation of the Ciberia project under the title ‘Digitalisation and Cross-border Resilience Through the Promotion of a Cybersecure CENCYL Area’ by Teresa Jiménez Cabaco, Manager of the USAL Science Park.
Once Teresa Jiménez's presentation is over, the workshop given by Raúl Aguado López from Active Business & Technology will begin at 11:00, entitled ‘Active Cybersecurity: Preparing for Attacks’.
The event will conclude with a networking session scheduled for 12:00 where attendees will be able to exchange ideas and concerns with the rest of the attendees, as well as establish important contacts for the future.
This event is an excellent opportunity for companies and public bodies to strengthen their cybersecurity.
