Mahmoud Abbasi is a researcher at the BISITE group and participates in the IoTalentum project with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship. His collaboration in the project is oriented towards the area of systems and Machine Learning, therefore, he has had the opportunity to carry out a stay at DIGITEL TS by Madison, a provider of Digital Solutions under eIDAS regulations.

Mahmoud holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Islamic Azad University of Birjand, with a MSc in Computer Software Engineering from Islamic Azad University of Mashhad. His research interests are in the area of communication systems and networks, Machine Learning, deep learning, machine learning for networks and analytics and monitoring Network Traffic Analysis and Monitoring (NTMA).

DIGITEL TS designs and implements integral processes of electronic contracting and communication, developing high impact projects in the transformation and evolution of traditional contracting models into certified digital contracting models with electronic proof assurance. The solutions developed by the company integrate legal security, information security and cloud infrastructure. In addition to offering services based on blockchain technology, such as blockchain notarization, smart contracts, DLTs, wallets and credentials.

During his stay, Mahmoud will work together with business mentor Alejandro Alfonso Fernandez, on optimizing the trade-off between proof of work complexity in blockchain technology and cost using the IoTalentum distributed infrastructure.
