In recent years, cities have intensified the incorporation of digital technologies in urban services. Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G connectivity or Big Data are among the many that are being applied with the aim of designing safer, cleaner and more sustainable cities.


Mahmoud Abbasi is a researcher at the BISITE group and participates in the IoTalentum project with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship.

The BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca has achieved funding from the Ministry of Science and Innovation to work on the development of the proof of concept of ActivEdgeMobile (Promoting Active Mobility through Digital Tokens, Edge Computing and Multi-Agent Systems - PDC2022-133161-C32), which will apply the results obtained in the InEDGEMobility project (Towards Sustainable Intelligent Mobility Supported by Multi-Agent Systems and Edge Computing - RTI2018-095390-B).

Last week we held an internal conference to present the projects of the BISITE Research Group, an activity that we organise every year with the aim of presenting the projects that we are developing to our colleagues. In this way, we can all come up with ideas for new solutions or find synergies between the different teams and developments that we are currently working on.
