Yesterday the V Workshop on Disruptive Information and Communication Technologies for Innovation and Digital Transformation took place, an activity developed in the framework of the DISRUPTIVE project and organized by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE) in collaboration with the University of Valladolid and other members of the consortium, including CARTIF, the Higher Institute of Engineering of Oporto, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Produtech and the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca. 

Seventy years have passed since the release of Nought and crosses, also called OXO, considered to be the first video game; it was developed by Alexander S. Douglas in 1952. It was a computerised version of tic-tac-toe that ran on the EDSAC and allowed a human player to play against a machine.
