Yesterday, January 12, 2021, the COSIBAS - ITEA Review Year 2 took place online. Cognitive services for IoT-based scenarios (COSIBAS) is a CDTI project, with the ITEA 3 label, which strives towards achieving the next milestone in IoT-based applications and solutions, with the integration of semantic and cognitive artificial intelligence technologies.
Last Friday, the 3rd Workshop on Disruptive Information and Communication Technologies for Innovation and Digital Transformation took place, organized by the BISITE Research Group within the framework of the DISRUPTIVE project. The event, which was held online, brought together project partners and international experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities that disruptive technologies offer to our society.
LIFE Via de la Plata, is a project that seeks to create a model of adaptation to climate change in Salamanca. It is currently in progress and, at the BISITE group, we are working on all the technological development involved in this great initiative. Proposing solutions to climate change and promoting energy efficiency, to make Salamanca a sustainable, ecological and safe Smart City.
Energy efficiency is the key to protecting and caring for our environment. A change in our habits can significantly reduce the impact of consumption and emissions. The residential sector accounts for 45% of total energy consumption. In this respect, it is necessary to propose solutions to promote the sustainable use of energy.
Artificial Intelligence is being implemented in many areas, its use has and will continue to improve efficiency, accuracy and prediction in different processes. In the connected industry, AI is a valuable asset in manufacturing, logistics and prediction of anomalies.
Creating smart and sustainable cities is a challenge faced by many countries today. Cities have the highest population concentration and therefore consume the most energy, pollute the most and generate the greatest greenhouse effect. As a result, it is necessary to create solutions that help protect our environment.
The Internet of Things (IoT) has created thousands of jobs related to the development and management of connected objects. These objects, already integrated in almost every sector, require engineers and technicians that will develop their software, their connectivity and their security.
We are very proud because we have presented the Life Vía de la Plata project, on which we collaborate with five other partners interested in implementing environmental solutions in Salamanca; a world heritage site
