The Mayor of Salamanca, Carlos García Carbayo, and the Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Salamanca, Juan Manuel Corchado, who is also the President of the AIR Institute ( International Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Foundation), today signed a collaboration agreement to continue developing the Salamanca Tech strategy.
The Centr@Tec Programme will hold a new informative conference on 26 January focusing on the Digital Kit and its solutions for the digital transformation of the self-employed and SMEs.
Iberdrola Retail, in collaboration with the BISITE Research Group from University of Salamanca, is embarking on an ambitious project known as the Edge Power Meter. This project seeks to develop and test a set of Edge Nodes, to redefine the way power consumption is monitored and managed at the hadware (Edge) layer level.
Edge Computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) represent two fundamental pillars in today's technological evolution. Edge computing refers to the decentralisation of data processing, bringing it closer to where it is generated, rather than relying exclusively on remote servers.
The idrECO project emerges in the dynamic scenario of energy and sustainability, a proposal of the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca, in collaboration with researchers from the University of Malaga and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. With the aim of addressing the pressing challenges of climate change, this initiative seeks to redefine the energy landscape through smart and efficient Renewable Energy Communities (RECs).
