SMARTSEA - MSc on Smart Maritime & Marine Systems; the first postgraduate programme started in the 2021-2022 academic year and accepted hundreds of applications from prospective students from all over the world.
The SMARTSEA project has developed an advanced, interactive MSc related to maritime IoT applications that equips individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to work in the growing 'smart maritime and surveying' industry.
Recently, the first edition of this course was successfully completed, and the graduation was held at the International Hellenic University (Greece). The 20 graduates have been trained during one academic year in technologies such as the Internet of Things, Blockchain or Artificial Intelligence so that they could apply them in projects or solutions in the maritime field.
All project partners have worked together, so we would like to thank for the involvement of the University of Ljubljana, Hellenic International University, Maritime University of Szczecin, Tallinn University of Technology, Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique, Grigore Antipa National Institute for Marine Research and Development, the SMEs: Cerca Trova Ltd, ECQA GmbH and three environmental and shipping survey companies: Creocean, RINA Hellas SA, Danaos Shipping Company Ltd and the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca.
