In the framework of the DISRUPTIVE project, the V Workshop on Disruptive Information and Communication Technologies for Innovation and Digital Transformation will be held on 12 September 2022 at the Centro de Soluciones Empresariales de la Junta de Castilla y León, Arroyo de la Encomienda, Valladolid.

The event is organised by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE) in collaboration with the University of Valladolid and other members of the consortium, including CARTIF, the Higher Institute of Engineering of Porto, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Produtech and the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca.

The workshop aims to discuss the issues, challenges and benefits of using disruptive digital technologies, namely Internet of Things, Big Data, cloud computing, multi-agent systems, machine learning, virtual and augmented reality, and collaborative robotics, so as to support the ongoing digital transformation in society. 

Workshop events

Participants will be able to attend a series of engaging workshops and presentations related to the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, Industry 4.0, digital transformation, and other topics of interest.

Juan Manuel Corchado, director of the BISITE Group of the University of Salamanca will be in charge of opening the event together with Augusto Cobos Pérez, general director of the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE).

Eduardo Lazcano de Rojas, Independent Strategy Consultant and Author of Emotional Communication, will also give a talk on " Common Sense in Digital Transformation".

During the workshop, success stories related to new technologies and different articles that have been previously accepted by experts in the field will be presented.
