The duty of our organizations and universities is to provide solutions to the problems that surround us.  Improving the quality of life of dependent people or making development and manufacturing sustainable, are just a few of the challenges we are firmly committed to resolving. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes and initiatives are implemented to make these changes possible.

Cogs for good” is a project that emerged from the collaboration of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Next International Business School and the University of Salamanca. With this project, universities aim to encourage their students to use technology as a facilitator and creator of innovative, replicable and scalable solutions that are capable of mitigating social problems.

A Hackathon will be one of the central activities of this project, which will be held at the headquarters of each of the participating institutions. IBM's Watson technology will be used in all the venues, the participating students will have a training session in use of this technology and they will develop an application or a system that will provide solutions to a previously raised social challenge. In Salamanca, the event will be held in the Multipurpose R+D+i Building, technical session will take place on the on the 14th of March and the Hackathon is organized for the 21st of March.

The BISITE Research Group would like to encourage you all to participate in this Hackathon. This is a way of contributing to our society.  You can find all the information on the official website.
