3D cinema is growing in popularity. Such productions seek to create more real experiences, arouse emotions and captivate us, as did Avatar and Gravity, some of the most popular 3D movies.

Animated audiovisual entertainment has been evolving for years in diverse aspects, offering a greater variety of visual styles. These advances are reflected in the latest films, series and videogames, which grow in number every year.

As evidenced by the data from the Statista portal, the global animation industry recorded a market value of around $407 billion in 2021, and is expected to exceed $642 billion by 2030.

Digital animation is increasingly exploring other fields beyond children's productions. According to estimates by the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX), in Spain, the increase in productions already generates 20% of jobs in the audiovisual world. Therefore, the demand for professionals in this area will be increasing.

The BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca has been organising, for more than 10 years, the Master's Degree in Digital Animation, a programme oriented at this profession. The teaching staff is made up of professionals from the sector who have been part of productions such as Tadeo Jones, Love, Death & Robots, Pocoyó or Watch Dogs: Legion, and many others. Besides, with the aim of easing entry into the labour market, the master's degree offers employment opportunities and guaranteed internships in several companies and animation studios.

Over the course of the Master's Degree, the enrolled students will learn about character design and advanced 3D digital animation, moreover, they will be able to choose from among three specialisations: film post-production, video game development or metaverse.

If you would like to become a 3D animation professional, we encourage you to obtain your specialisation by taking BISITE's Master's Degree. Information and registration here
