A workshop given by Professor Dr. Carlos Ramos (from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and member of the GECAD group) took place on November 18 at Salamanca's R&D+i Building. It was aimed at students from the University of Salamanca doing their master’s degree in Intelligent Systems or their PhD in Computer Science. It discussed basic concepts in Artificial Intelligence such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning or Natural Language Processing, as well as new trends in Intelligent Systems.

Dr. Carlos Ramos also showed some of the most relevant projects currently aimed at researchers and students coordinated by the IPP, such as the LAPASSION project (Latin-America Practices and Soft Skills for an Innovation Oriented Network), a project of the Erasmus + program of cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices in the field of Higher Education, which involves partners from Portugal, Finland, Spain, Brazil, Uruguay and Chile.

An interesting workshop in which attendees have been able to learn about the latest trends in Intelligent Systems and their impact on research.
