The Platforms team of the BISITE Research Group at the University of Salamanca (USAL) is growing with the addition of three young professionals specialized in computing and cross-platform application development.
David Carro is one of our new additions to BISITE and, since his arrival, he has put into practice the skills acquired in his training as a senior technician in Multiplatform Application Development and expands on the development and training of artificial intelligence.
The use of generative artificial intelligence in the development of a virtual assistant for the elderly is one of the main activities that occupies Alberto Rodríguez at BISITE. From the various actions carried out, Alberto distinguishes his interest in the implementation of the voice assistant, the installation on a raspberry and the development of a long-term memory system.
After completing his studies in Cross-Platform Application Development at IES Venancio Blanco, Alberto focuses on deepening his knowledge of AI, as well as researching new integrations, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
Through the internship program offered by BISITE, Diego Borrallo joined the team, accompanying us for a four-month period while he continues his degree in Computer Engineering at USAL.
After completing his technology-focused high school education, Diego decided to continue his academic training and develop professionally in this field. He is currently working on AI-related activities in the field of data analysis, with plans to specialize in native development for iOS devices.
The University of Salamanca, through BISITE, seeks to offer job opportunities to young graduates from science and computing disciplines, as well as from other training centers in the province, as a way to retain existing talent and continue contributing to Salamanca's positioning as a technological city.
